A Call to Love and Solidarity for Venezuela

Dear Florida Conference Family,

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

As we receive reports and see images of the recent earthquakes in Venezuela, our hearts are deeply moved for all those affected. As a family of faith, we join in prayer and solidarity with the people of Venezuela, especially our Adventist brothers and sisters who are facing moments of pain, loss, and uncertainty.

We know that many members of the Florida Conference have family, friends, and loved ones in Venezuela. For that reason, this situation touches our spiritual family in a very personal way. When one part of the body of Christ suffers, we all suffer with it; and when we respond with compassion, we reflect the love of Jesus to those who need it most.

At this time, we desire to respond in a practical, responsible, and effective way. The Florida Conference Administration invites all members, churches, and leaders who wish to help to do so through monetary donations. These funds will be sent directly to the East Venezuela Union Mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church to support relief efforts for the individuals and families affected by this emergency.

We believe this is one of the fastest and most effective ways to provide assistance to those facing this tragedy. Our desire is that every donation may become a tangible expression of hope, comfort, and Christian support for our brothers and sisters in Venezuela.

In addition to giving, we encourage every church, family, and member to continue praying earnestly for Venezuela. Let us pray for the affected families, for those who have lost loved ones, for those who have experienced material loss, for the church leaders, and for everyone serving in the midst of this emergency.

Thank you for your generosity, your prayers, and your willingness to help. In moments like this, the church has the opportunity to live the gospel through concrete actions of love, compassion, and service.
